Assembly Technology Expo China 2006 / Quality Expo China 2006
Attracted Thousands of Visitors

From August 29th ¨C 31st, Assembly Technology Expo China 2006 (ATE China 2006) and Quality Expo China 2006 held at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre opened its doors to over 3,000 visitors and buyers offering them the golden opportunity to learn about international developments & achievements in assembly technology and find the complete & practical solutions to make the entire assembly process faster, better and more cost effective.

The three-day expo, held in conjunction with Nepcon South China/EMT South China & Automotive Electronics South China, hosted 62 major players from six different countries & regions including Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and USA. By visiting the show, industrial visitors from 22 countries could have the chance to keep pace with this fast-growing industry. While highly esteemed companies such as Adept, AIMCO, ATS, Bodine, Bosch Rexroth, Cincinnati, Deprag, De-Sta-Co, Epson, Federal, Han's Laser, Ingersroll Rand, Stanley, SMD, and Yamazen provided visitors with not only a wealth of information, but also a chance to network with these industrial leading players.

At the exhibition, some of the most sophisticated technology on the assembly market was on display. The latest generation of automated assembly machines and systems; power tools and hand tools; robots, end effectors and pick-and ¨Cplace machines; test & inspection equipment were showcased, giving visitors the chance to see and learn about some of the latest developments in this dynamic industry.

On touring the exhibition, Mr. Shi Xiaofeng, Production Engineer for BorgWarner praised the event's success. "This inaugural exhibition clearly demonstrates that there have been significant advancements in assembly production in South China. Reed Exhibitions has managed to gather together some of the finest technical minds and business-savvy executives to create a hothouse of ideas. It's been a resounding success."

Comments like this were reflected in the post-show analysis, which indicated that 97 percent visitors would return to next year's show and 97 percent said they would recommend ATE China and Quality Expo China to colleagues and business associates. 95 percent of visitors held the opinion that ATE China 2006 is highly representative in the assembly manufacturing industry and 92 percent visitors found their targeted suppliers onsite.

One of the highlights of the exhibition was a symposium hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE-China), where the technical elite discussing some ground-breaking developments in assembly manufacturing.

Highly respected blue-chip companies such as Ingersroll-Rand, Bosch Rexroth and Stanley Works supplemented the technical seminar by giving presentations on precision fastening systems, components for production systems and SAT technology. The two-day conference covered a range of topics that are highly relevant to any business professionals wanting to gain an edge in this highly dynamic market.

"This learning forum provided me with a wealth of insight into the developments of automobile assembly production within South China. It has helped me to crystallize my business plan, and forge important contacts with top-class engineers," said Mr. Chen Xingping, Production Manager for FOUNDER Technology Group.

Visitor's accolades indicated that the phenomenal variety of products on display was a key highlight for time-conscious consumers. The exhibition gave buyers ample opportunity to compare products to find the most efficient, cost-effective solution for their particular company. "Our visitors are often under considerable time pressure, so providing a one-stop shop has always been one of our mottos and it seems to be paying dividends, given the sheer number of visitors and interest in this show," says Reed Exhibition's East China Vice President Josephine Lee.

Assembly Technology Expo China and Quality Expo China will return to Shenzhen from 28th to 31st August 2007 at Hall 1 of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre.
