China's Only Assembly Show Opens today in Shenzhen
The only show targeting at China's assembly industry - Assembly Technology Expo China 2007 (ATE China 2007) - opens today and is set to welcome 5,000 trade and professional visitors from the automotive, electronics & telecom equipment, electrical appliances and medical devices industries. The 4-day exhibition will attract key buyers such as Purchasing Managers, Production and Manufacturing Managers, Design and Product Development Engineers, Quality Assurors, Technical Professionals, Second-tier Suppliers, and System Integrators. Guangdong is the epicenter of China's manufacturing industry and officially the fastest growing manufacturing base in the world. It is currently contributing 12.3 percent to China's total manufacturing output; with industries such as automotive and electronics taking the lead. In the past, manufacturing companies faced problems with the lack of assembly technologies to maximize productivity and were not able to keep up with new innovations needed to increase their competitiveness in the industry. ATE China, thus provides the industry with such a platform to demonstrate manufacturing solutions in order to make the entire assembly process faster, better and for less costs. Taking place alongside NEPCON South China - the meeting point for the SMT industry; EMT South China - electronics manufacturing technology; and AE South China - Automotive Electronics; the 4 mega events aim to provide all 28,000 expected visitors to a one-stop shop for their buying needs, update on the latest technology and innovation and to network with the 650 industry leaders from 22 countries. ATE China has proven itself to be an exhibition of providing quality standards. Ninety-five percent of visitors to ATE China 2006 agreed that the show was representative of the industry and would recommend it to their colleagues. Furthermore, 97 percent of the visitors were likely to return and visit this year's event. Endorsement of the exhibition also come from prestigious supporters such as the Hong Kong chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers. ¡°We believe that ATE China is the only trade event in China that will definitely help to make the entire assembly process faster, better, and with higher cost-effectiveness,¡± said Mr. Simon Leung, President of the society.
